Food and the rituals that surround it

Because lets face it, you have more pictures of what you last ate than you do of the new born in your family.

Relaxed lunches at home and reading during them.

Birthdays of friends and mandatory cupcakes to lead them straight into a sugar coma!

Chai for breakfast coupled with bleary eyes and unmade beds with the backdrop sound of crinkling newspapers.

Family lunches and reminiscing of older family days when all the kids would group themselves on the stairs while eating

College selfies, doodling and eating between/during classes from the cafeteria

Freshly home baked goodies and taking mirror selfies to kill time

Hurried bites taken during exam days while you cram as much as possible at the last minute

Winter walks around the neighbourhood with little brother and warm coffee.

Meeting up with friends, going to the nearest park, fixing snacks together and watching Downton Abbey.

Whatsapp conversations about food and practically always knowing what your friends are eating.

Chai with relatives and eargerly planning every detail of the upcoming family wedding

Meeting up with friends and going around the world in the 80 minutes of conversation

Authors according to Venn Diagrams

What started out as me studying ended in Venn Diagrams explaining different authors and their writing styles.

I really should try studying more often. It's good for my blog.

It took..

1 spoken word poem on repeat
4 good conversations with friends
20 songs
3 hurried prayers
1 walk around the neighborhood
5 averted glances
4 genuine smiles
1 piece of chocolate
1 chapter of the book i'm reading
3 newly discovered artists
8 incomplete sketches
3 disappointed looks
1 hug

..To get through the day.
